Mission statement: or, who we are…
"Lakeville Church of the Nazarene is an open and welcoming community who is intent on sharing the love of Jesus Christ through personal connection, shared passion for worship and a desire to serve."
At The LCN, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for service, and we want to make your visit as welcoming as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to our 10:30 a.m. service.
While we do not rigidly affix ourselves to any one particular format or order, our service typically includes the following elements: a time of worship in song, family prayer time, announcements, teaching/message and communion once a month.
Our church is located at 180 Main St. in Lakeville, MA, and parking is located right next to the church. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door marked “visitor”. We like to keep these spots free for visitors and people who need assistance.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.
When you walk in, find one of our greeters and introduce yourself. They're usually stationed at the doors and they'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery if you have small children. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and fellowship area. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
Be sure to hang around after the service. You'll have a chance to meet our pastor and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come!
What we believe
We Believe…
- In the Holy Trinity, one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- That the Old and New Testament Scriptures have been given by divine inspiration in their entirety and contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
- That human beings are born with afallen nature and is therefore inclined to evil and without repentence, is hopeless and eternally lost.
- That the atonement throuThat man is born with a gh Jesus Christ is for the whole race, and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
- That believers are sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth and also to the sanctification of believers.
- That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
